ICONS CARDS
This is an A to M project that started out with a single Christmas card for clients and promptly grew into a full blown greetings card venture (even appearing in The Sun newspaper at one point). They’ve taken various forms, shapes and sizes over the years and are shown here in their latest spiffy presentation with fresh tattoo-like colours. Again designed with collectibility in mind, there are various series ranging from Fatalities (shown here) to Sugar ‘n’ Spice and The Living Dead, and all feature little references and puns relating to the personality depicted. They are both a celebration and lampooning of popular culture, fame and celebrity - a halfway house between reverence and gentle ridicule. Now available at Piccadilly Records, Rough Trade and many other fine emporiums. I’ll be putting some limited editions up in the Blamb! store in the new year.
